Atlanta Hosts Smooth Music Festival

Marietta, GA, June 16, 2014 – Jazz Grooves presents the 7th Annual Atlanta Smooth Music Festival, on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Saxophonist Kim Waters headlines the festival. Bass player Gerald Veasley, keyboardist Gregg Karukas, trumpeter Cindy Bradley, saxophonist Lebron Dennis, and guitarist 2unes will also appear. The festival will be held at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheather.

The festival is Atlanta’s only music festival devoted to smooth jazz. The line up will include international and national recording artist, who perform all over the globe. “The lineup has included a virtual Who’s Who in smooth jazz.” Said Joe Cleveland, Jazz Grooves’ Managing Partner, the festival producers.

The event is held at one of Atlanta’s unique concert venues, The Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. The uniqueness of the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre enhances the festival experience. The Mable House is quietly tucked away in the south Cobb community of Mableton, just outside the Atlanta city limits. Unlike many amphitheatres, the seating area is covered, parking is included, it is very accessible, and every seat has a great view of the stage. “It is truly a rain or shine venue.” Cleveland said. In addition to reserved seating, there is a VIP area with tables of four. Robbie Edwards, Technical Director said, “Nothing beats it. Guests can bring their own food and drink; enjoy a great concert, in an idyllic setting. Even the lawn seating areas is great.”
