Award Winning Guitarist Performs at The Atlanta Smooth Music Festival

Marietta, GA. July 29, 2015. Contemporary smooth jazz guitarist and vocalist Nick Colionne returns to the Atlanta Smooth Music Festival, which held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. Festival goers are looking forward to hearing music from his 2014 release Influences. In addition to Colionne, keyboardist Jeff Lorber, guitarist Tim Bowman, and saxophonists Paula Atherton and Tony Exum Jr. are also scheduled to perform.

Colionne makes his fourth appearance at the annual music festival. “The thing about Nick is he works hard to make sure each guest has a memorable concert experience. Jazz Grooves is the presenting company of the Atlanta Smooth Music Festival. “Besides, he loves performing here and smooth music fans love his performance.”

Twice he was been nominated as Wave Jazz Awards International Instrumental Artist of the Year Award. An award he received in 2007. In addition to this honor, in 2011 he received the Artist of the Year at the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, and the 2011 and 2012 Performer of the Year for the JazzTrax Jazz Festivals. “He really connects with the audience. It’s like he’s someone you’ve known for much more than his music.” Cleveland continued. He’s the Wayman Tisdale Humanitarian Award for his ongoing commitment to mentoring children and his work in the community and nationally in support of breast cancer causes.

The Atlanta Smooth Music Festival offers smooth jazz music lovers six hours of nonstop smooth jazz, all in one day. The festival line-up includes international and national recording artists, along with rising and local stars in the music genre.
